What is the best way to find a specific drug?

The quickest way to find a specific drug is to use the Quick Search box, which is on the left-hand side of every page. Make sure that Drug is selected from the drop-down menu.

You can search for the drug using a generic name, trade name or laboratory code number. The IDdb standard for research codes is that letters and numbers are always separated by a hyphen. However you do not need to include the hyphen for a search to be successful.

For example, Roche's drug RO 27,3225 would be written in the database as RO-27-3225, and can also be searched as ro273225, with the hyphen and comma removed.
