When does IDdb stop monitoring a drug?

Once a drug has been launched in three of the seven major pharmaceutical markets, one of which must be the USA, we consider the drug to be launched extensively. At this point we will generally stop updating the drug report.

The seven major pharmaceutical markets are:

  • France
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom
  • USA
However, we will continue to cover any further development of the drug for novel indications, or if new and particularly interesting formulations are developed.

No information is removed from the database, so drugs that have been launched extensively remain in IDdb.
